MATS-201SD Soft Magnetic DC Measurement System can automatically measure the fundamental magnetization curve and hysteresis loop of soft magnetic materials under static (DC) conditions. It accurately measures various static magnetic parameters, including the initial permeability μi , maximum permeability μm, saturation magnetic induction Bs, remanence Br,coercivity Hc, and hysteresis loss Pu.

The MATS-201SD operates based on the principle of the classical impulse method. It employs computer control technology, integrating A/D and D/A converters, and substitutes the traditional impulse current transformer with an electronic integrator. This enables simulated impulse method measurement under microcomputer control. Crucially, this design not only completely eliminates the non-instantaneous errors introduced by traditional impulse current transformers, but it also boasts high measurement accuracy, fast speed, and excellent repeatability, removing the influence of various human factors and providing a reliable basis for studying the mechanism of material magnetization processes.

2. Open-Loop Samples

2.1. Solenoid

A solenoid is composed of a wire wound around a cylindrical insulating core, capable of generating a large, uniform magnetic field in the axial direction. The test sample is magnetized within this uniform and unidirectional field. Note: The magnetization of open-loop samples must overcome the demagnetizing field HN. The demagnetization factor N is dependent on the sample's shape and geometry and is not constant.

  • Applications: Solenoids can measure bar, rod, and sheet-shaped samples. The sample is required to have an aspect ratio (length to diameter) greater than 20:1.

2.2. A-Type Gaussmeter

The Gaussmeter is a magnetization device used to measure magnetic properties of open-loop soft magnetic samples, such as electrical pure iron, Fe-Co alloys, and magnetic stainless steel. It consists of a yoke, an excitation coil, and pole shoes. During measurement, the test sample is placed within the Gaussmeter and forms a closed magnetic circuit with the yoke.

2.3. Epstein Frame (Core)

The Epstein frame is a magnetization device used for measuring the magnetic properties of electrical steel strip. It consists of four coils and an air flux compensation coil.
